A leading regional CPA and business advisory firm with offices in Northern Kentucky, Cincinnati, and Indianapolis – was presented with the prestigious “Thoroughbred Award” by the Northern Kentucky Tri-County Economic Development Corporation (Northern Kentucky Tri-ED).  Northern Kentucky Tri-ED honored 22 companies that located, expanded or were launched in the region in 2015 at its annual recognition event at the Drees Pavilion on February 17th, 2016.

VonLehman has broken ground on a new corporate headquarters in Fort Wright, and expects to move into the new building in December, 2016, capping off its 70th Anniversary year.

“We looked at a number of different options, but in the end, we determined that Northern Kentucky, and the Wright’s Summit office development in Fort Wright was the most suitable location and offered the best office solution for our clients’ and employees’ needs,” said Brian Malthouse, President of VonLehman. “With the local landscape of our industry changing through mergers and companies from outside the area buying and merging with local CPA firms, we are proud to be regionally owned and operated and therefore wanted to stay committed to our region.”

The Thoroughbred Award and new VonLehman headquarters help demonstrate the growth VonLehman is experiencing.  As of February, 2016, VonLehman moved to #6 from #8 on the Cincinnati Business Courier’s “Largest Accounting Firms” for 2016.  It remains the third-largest private CPA and Advisory Firm in the region.

The company also announced in 2015 that it had moved up a full 20 positions — from 176 to 156 — in Inside Public Accounting’s Sixth Annual Ranking of the Nation’s Top 200 Accounting Firms list — the “IPA 200” — which is regarded as the benchmarking gold standard within the industry
