Student Opportunities
We offer Accounting Majors co-op opportunities with valuable hands-on experience in a wide array of accounting functions. At VonLehman, co-ops learn tax, audit and accounting best practices for a variety of industries. Co-ops often participate in client on-site audits in their first several weeks of employment. In addition, we offer a "Co-op Tuition Assistance Program" where co-op students can receive $1,500 as undergraduates and $2,000 as graduate students per school session in tuition reimbursement in addition to their hourly pay.
Meeting the 150 Rule
VonLehman encourages graduates to become CPAs. We support their efforts by paying up to $2,000 per school session for full-time accountants while they are taking graduate level classes to meet their 150-hour requirement. We pay CPA exam fees, travel expenses and a bonus of up to $3,000 upon passing the CPA exam.
Large Firm Benefits
Our benefits are competitive with larger CPA firms. The VonLehman compensation plan for accountants is outstanding. We offer additional compensation or time off for all hours worked over 40 in a week. As a regional firm, you will have minimal overnight client travel. We offer Medical, Dental, Life, Short and Long-Term Disability Insurance and a 401(k) with a company contribution. VonLehman also offers a cafeteria plan in addition to Pre-tax Flexible Spending Accounts. The firm contributes $200 annually in each employee’s FSA account.
