Experience
Brandon M. Powers joined VonLehman & Company Inc. in 2001. Mr. Powers graduated from Transylvania University with a Bachelor of Arts in Accountancy, and a Masters Degree from the University of Cincinnati, with an emphasis in taxation.
Mr. Powers' public accounting experience includes auditing, review, compilation, and business advisory services, as well as a variety of federal and multi-state tax compliance issues and strategic tax planning to a wide range of closely-held businesses and their owners. He works with many of the firm’s clients in an assortment of industries including construction, manufacturing and distribution, and service organizations. He is also a member of the firm’s Quality Control Committee, and Tax Service Group. Being a member of the firm’s Quality Control Committee, he is able to be on the forefront of the ever-changing GAAP landscape, and has been able to proactively assist his audit and accounting clients implement compliance changes with an approach that saves both time and money.
Brandon has equally extensive tax compliance and planning background, specializing in flow-through entity taxation. Meeting with clients as part of their advisory group, he has been able to provide up to date tax projections, allowing companies to plan for future cash flow needs, and advice on future ventures. Taking a comprehensive review of the company’s organization, he has been able to restructure business formations with significant tax savings. Brandon has become a valued asst for the clients he serves, handling all their compliance needs, from accounting and tax obligations, to regulatory reporting, and then providing the insight and candor owners need to succeed in a volatile business environment.
